Devin and Doug were married on June 25th, 2010. Their ceremony was located in the heart of the stunning Columbia River Gorge! We love couples like Devin and Doug. They were kind enough to dedicate a HUGE part of their day, (almost 3 hours!) solely to working with their wedding photographers on some truly FUN shots!
The ceremony and reception were both held in Cascade Locks, Oregon, where an annual event called, “Sternwheeler Days” takes place the last weekend in June. This mini festival of sorts is really more of a history lesson. People from around the globe, as well as a plethora of locals adorn themselves in the traditional clothing of Native American cultures as well as the traditional garb of the western pioneers.
Lewis and Clark weren’t the only adventurous ones! Devin and Doug were GREAT sports and contributed to many unique ideas! The four of us certainly had an adventure of our own whilst forging through the unchartered territories of Cascade Locks, Oregon.
There were hoots and hollers as well as congratulations as our lovely couple strolled through the Sternwheeler Days.
Devin and Doug Married!
Natalie and Bill engaged!
Natalie and Bill’s engagement session was scheduled on the time of year that promised to either rain, or to shine. This sort of forecast is not uncommon when photographing in the Columbia River Gorge! ![]()
Luckily for us, the day provided the perfect mix of majestic mist and subtle rays of light, which shone through the trees. We were even more stoked that no matter what was happening with the weather, our wonderful couple was into our vision one hundred percent!
The warm glow of each photograph is a reflection of the sweet natured, fun and energetic couple that is Natalie and Bill. We had a great time getting to know this fun-loving couple and we all hit it off right away!
As their wedding date rapidly approaches, we look forward to meeting their friends and family, as we know it is going to be one memorable group of people!
Sincere thanks to Natalie and Bill for being such great sports during your chilly engagement session! Take a look! You can’t even see the goose bumps!
