Columbia Gorge sunset engagement sessions in the spring- great time to be outside photographing after all these gloomy months. The outdoor scenery this time of the year is such a colorful backdrop for photos, blooming flowers and fresh greenery make the Gorge number one choice for many couples. We love the spanning landscapes on both sides of the river and only 45 minutes from Portland. There are so many hidden and less known locations around our area, being and working here for so many years we have become very familiar with all those great spots for pictures. Recently we had a lot of fun with Darcy and Joshua who came from Vancouver. In a little over two hours we were able to travel to 3 different locations near Stevenson, from Beacon Rock to Strawberry Island. Best time to capture the perfect light and color is in the late afternoon, so we always try to plan for the evening time when possible, results can be stunning. Strawberry Island in North Bonneville offers open grass fields with majestic views of Beacon Rock and mountain ranges on the Oregon side. We are always happy to recommend best and locations, we do know a great number of hidden and unique places around the Gorge, jaw dropping views, wild flower fields and spectacular sunsets if we’re lucky:)
